ID Studios is proud to announce the promotion of Maegen Curry, NCIDQ, to Principal. This milestone recognizes Maegen’s exceptional leadership, design expertise, and longstanding contributions to the firm’s growth, culture, and success.
Since joining ID Studios in 2014, Maegen has played an integral role in shaping the firm’s work across corporate, education, hospitality, and mixed-use environments. Over the past decade, she has steadily expanded her influence as a designer, project leader, mentor, business developer, and advocate for both clients and colleagues. Her promotion to Principal reflects not only her professional accomplishments but also her deep commitment to the values that define ID Studios.
“Maegen embodies everything we strive to be as a firm,” said Deborah Elliott, Founding Principal. “Her passion for design, dedication to our clients, and genuine care for our team have made her an invaluable leader. We are excited to welcome her into this new role and look forward to the continued impact she will have on our future.”
As Principal, Maegen will continue leading multidisciplinary project teams while helping guide the firm’s strategic direction, business development efforts, marketing initiatives, and team growth. She has been instrumental in strengthening client relationships, fostering collaboration, and mentoring the next generation of designers.
Throughout the past year, Maegen has contributed to a diverse portfolio of projects, including the recently completed Colliers San Diego Headquarters office and ongoing work for Burtech Coastal Living, Acuity Brands, Rio Hondo College, Paul Ecke Central Elementary School, and multiple San Diego Unified School District projects.
Known for her thoughtful and people-centered approach to design, Maegen believes that successful spaces are rooted in meaningful relationships.
“It is very hard to choose a favorite project,” said Curry. “Whenever we work with clients, we get to know their culture, their teams, and all about the company, so I get excited to discover the unique personality and opportunities for each individual client.”
Her leadership philosophy is equally grounded in connection and collaboration.
“What makes ID Studios great is our culture,” Curry said. “We genuinely care about each other, our clients, and the work we produce. We have a collaborative environment and strive to value every voice.”
Beyond her project work, Maegen has established herself as a respected leader within the design and commercial real estate communities. She has been actively involved with organizations including CREW San Diego and NAIOP and regularly contributes to industry conversations around the future of design, leadership, and workplace strategy. Her commitment to community service is equally noteworthy, having helped support charitable initiatives that have raised significant funding for pediatric cancer research and family support programs.
Maegen’s promotion marks an exciting chapter for both her career and the future of ID Studios. As the firm continues to grow across multiple market sectors, her vision, leadership, and dedication to excellence will help shape the next generation of projects, partnerships, and opportunities.
Please join us in congratulating Maegen Curry on her well-deserved promotion to Principal.
