ID Studios collaborated with KTGY Architecture and AVRP Studios on a new, seven-story ground-up development named Topaz Apartments for Pierce Education Properties on Montezuma Road walking distance from San Diego State University. The glass-lined lobby provides high visibility to passers-by so we placed a blue, angular graphic on the ceiling and filled the two-story volume with multi-sized globe lights that give the illusion of stars in the night sky. We followed that up with an energetic modern design aesthetic in the common areas and combined an open floor plan with furniture groupings to provide maximum flexibility.
