The goal for the exterior and interior design of this one story, 50,000 s.f. building was to take the client’s new acquisition and transform it into a property that meets their standards. The building shell was a long monolithic block with very low and black-tinted windows. The new design includes shade structures at various heights, architectural aluminum cladding at four corners of the building, and a new glassy building entry. The entry landscape was also reworked to support the new architectural elements. The design intent for the interior was to bring a fresh new perspective evoking the feel of nature in SoCal with warm woods accented with blue glass and sandy pebbles in prominent locations.
