BioMed Realty recently completed a modernization of their two-story, 68,000 s.f. life science facility in Torrey Pines. They repositioned the asset through a complete exterior upgrade and the addition of amenities to attract local life science companies. The interior scope included three new move in ready, state-of-the-art laboratory spec suites, two new, light filled lobbies, a catering kitchen serving a multi-purpose event room, fitness facility complete with showers and lockers, and upgraded common restrooms. The main entryway was completely reconceived and reconstructed including the stairway that features a two-story, LED light-enhanced feature wall. The exterior was modernized and included signage, entry features, new landscape and an outdoor patio area.
